Visitor Information

Liu Fang Yuan , the Garden of Flowing Fragrance, is located on the grounds of The Huntington Library, Art Collections, and Botanical Gardens. It is open to visitors during regular hours and is included with Huntington admission. Docents are stationed in the garden daily to answer questions about its features.

HOURS: Open to the public Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from noon to 4:30 p.m., and Saturday, Sunday, and Monday holidays from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Closed Tuesdays and major holidays. (Summer Hours: From Memorial Day to Labor Day, The Huntington opens at 10:30 a.m.)

ADMISSION ON WEEKDAYS: $15 adults, $12 seniors (65+), $10 students (ages 12–18 or with full-time student I.D.), $6 youth (ages 5–11), free for children under 5. Group rate $11 per person for groups of 15 or more. Members free.

ADMISSION ON WEEKENDS AND MONDAY HOLIDAYS: $20 adults, $15 seniors, $10 students, $6 youth, free for children under 5. Group rate $14 per person for groups of 15 or more. Members free.

Admission is free to all visitors on the first Thursday of each month with advance tickets.

TEA SHOP: Chinese tea and refreshments are available during public hours in the Freshwater Pavilion. Additional food services are offered in The Huntington’s Café and Rose Garden Tea Room.

Groups are guided by specially trained docents through the traditional Suzhou-style garden, featuring a 1.5-acre lake bordered by craggy Tai Hu limestone rocks. Visitors will explore a complex of seven pavilions, a canyon waterfall and five hand-carved stone bridges set against a wooded backdrop of mature oaks, pines, camellias, bamboo and blossoming plum trees.

• For 10 or more guests
• Walking tour is approximately 90 minutes
• Group tours available weekdays during public hours; Saturdays at 9 a.m.
• Cost: $22 per person, weekdays; $25 per person Saturdays; (includes admission)
• Reservations required at least one month in advance
