Group Tours
Enjoy an informative and fascinating guided tour during your visit to The Huntington. Choose a different tour on each visit. Please note that all tours require a minumum of 10 guests, with the exception of the Tea & Tour which requires a minimum of 4 guests.
Estate Tour
This easy outdoor one-hour walking tour covers the central area of the estate including the world renowned galleries and gardens and lasts approximately one hour. The guided tour tells the story of how Henry and Arabella Huntington turned their San Marino Ranch into a world famous cultural landmark. For 10 or more guests. Reservations required at least one month in advance. Cost: $18 each (includes admission)
Tea & Tour
Enjoy a private morning tour followed by English Tea. Groups meet a Huntington docent at 10:30 a.m. September through May, or earlier in the summer months, when it’s cooler, and before the grounds open to the public. The walking tour lasts about 90 minutes and ends at the Rose Garden Tea Room, where a buffet of finger sandwiches, strawberries and cream, imported cheeses, salads, and desserts await. The English tea includes warm scones and jam, and hot or iced tea. Minimum 4 guests. Reservations required at least one month in advance. Cost: $55 each (includes early morning admission, tax & gratuity)

Architecture, nature, art and literature meet in the Garden of Flowing Fragrance, capturing the spirit of classical Chinese scholar gardens. Groups are guided by specially trained docents through the traditional Suzhou-style garden, featuring a 1.5-acre lake bordered by craggy Tai Hu limestone rocks. Visitors will explore a complex of seven pavilions, a canyon waterfall and five hand-carved stone bridges set against a wooded backdrop of mature oaks, pines, camellias, bamboo and blossoming plum trees. Celebrate the poetry, beauty and rich heritage unique to China.

• Tours available weekdays during public hours; Saturdays at 9 a.m.
• Cost: $22 per person, weekdays; $25 per person Saturdays; (includes admission)

Exhibition Tours
Docent-led tours of current exhibitions are available for groups of 10 or more by advance registration. Call for availability and pricing.

Free Daily Garden Tours
(except Tuesdays and first Thursday of month) Free tours of the gardens are available with general admission or membership. Tours are offered Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday between noon and 2 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday between 10:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Times vary depending on volunteer availability; please check in at the Information Desk on arrival for the day's schedule of garden tours. Sorry, these free tours cannot be reserved in advance.
Lecturing in the Galleries
